A roll in the hay may mean something new thanks to a new how-to guide for safe outdoors sex.
How To Have Sex In The Woods, by science journalist Luann Columbo, says lovemaking can be the highlight or climax of a memorable camping trip or other outdoors foray, just as long as you're prepared.
Columbo was unavailable for comment this morning. Her agent, Ari Gersen, says she was inspired to write the book because she "thought it would be an interesting challenge to pull together this kind of information.
"There's sort of a dearth of information out there on camping in general and sex and camping in particular," Gersen continues. "And she's very well into outdoors life and issues and she thought this book could be fun to do."
Among Columbo's recommendations: \nWomen should buy several pairs of mountain-climbing pants with special zippering, allowing women to have sex without taking their pants off. \nGet a good enough blanket to protect against rough rocks or other items. \nCarry rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to disinfect rocks, feathers, and "other items which can be used as natural sex aids." \nAnd, Columbo emphasizes, be very careful when making love in high altitudes, unless you prefer fainting and missing the pleasure.
