With an ambition to provide the insight into what makes sex fun, wisdom and wit about relationships, reviews of classic and current adult films, Websites, lubricants, and more, online men's magazine Modvox launched this week.
"In the male experience today, we are surrounded by sex, yet we men feel this underlying and unsaid pressure to perform," said editor Max Madden announcing the launch. "Modvox hopes to remind men that sex is still fun. And all things surrounding sex are fun."
Madden was unable to comment to AVNOnline.com before this story went to press, but the premiere issue of Modvox includes reviews of the Marilyn Chambers classic Behind the Green Door and Jenna Jameson's The Masseuse, reviews of Vivid Video's Website and BustyAmateurs.com, reviews of six brands of lubricants, a column about having sex with an ex, and a weekly adult industry news roundup, "Dirty Dirt."
Modvox's mostly free-lance staff includes artists Frank Barbara, Bill Dunlap, Lewis Helfand, Keith Martin, and William Morton, and writers Patrick Briarwood, Buzzy Coltrane, Jack Early, Rika Harada, Ronnie Werner, and John Yates. Madden said the magazine will showcase commissioned illustrations from up-and-coming illustrators for feature articles and a new masthead.
Plans are for the magazine to add at least one article or review a day per weekday, with coming stories slated to include a sex advice column, a feature about lingerie modeling, and an interview with an as-yet unidentified adult film star.
