‘Family Business’ Premiere Grabs Ratings

The Season 3 premiere of Showtime’s original series, “Family Business,” beat last year’s premiere numbers by pulling a 1.43 Nielsen rating in its 11:30 p.m. time slot on Saturday.

The rating indicates that over 1.6 million households tuned in, an increase of about a half million from the Season 2 premiere. The reality series focuses on the life of Adam Glasser, a.k.a. Seymore Butts, his family and his business.

“I am extremely pleased with the opening numbers and I know the people over at Shapiro/Grodner Productions and Showtime are excited as well,” Glasser said. “I think our success will only further expand our industry’s acceptance into the mainstream and encourage others to take similar risks with our industry and the people involved in it.”

“Family Business” airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights on Showtime including a double-header, one-hour block on Friday nights.

Season 3 extensively features the making of Seymore Butts Home Movies and Cousin Stevie’s Pussy Party series, both of which are distributed by Pure Play Media.
