2020 AVN Award Nominations Announced

HOLLYWOOD—The sixth annual AVN Awards Nominations Party, presented by MyFreeCams, lit up Avalon nightclub in central Hollywood Thursday night—and for the first time ever, the soiree was broadcast live across the world on AVN's burgeoning social media platform AVN Stars.

But that wasn't the only big new development this year; though not among the categories announced at the event, industry observers will note a host of brand-new fields opened up for the 2020 AVN Awards race, including Best All-Girl Narrative Production, Best Comedic Screenplay, Best Director - Comedic Production, Best New Foreign Starlet, Best Transgender Group Sex Scene and Best Transgender One-on-One Sex Scene.

In addition, as part of AVN's continued effort to keep current with the ever-shifting landscape of how adult content is delivered and consumed, all series categories have been updated to accomodate genre-specific web channels offered by the many and varied membership sites across the adult sector of cyberspace.

The evening's proceedings were hosted by Ricky Johnson and Seth Gamble—who both walked away with noms for Male Performer of the Year, among others—and as part of the festivities, the 2020 AVN Awards Trophy Girls were unveiled: stunning up-and-comers Aliya Brynn and Scarlit Scandal.

The 2020 AVN Awards, also presented by MyFreeCams, takes place January 25, 2020, at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and will be hosted by AVN Hall of Famer Nikki Benz and MFC CAMStar Emily Bloom. For tickets, visit AVNAwards.com.
