20/20 Video Wins Chevy Malibu in Pure Play's D2R Contest

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Pure Play Media chose 20/20 Video as the grand prize winner of a 2009 Chevy Malibu Hybrid in a random drawing held today at the AVN offices.

Pure Play CEO Richard Arnold and national sales manager Bill Rix brought in XXX star Cassandra Cruz to pick the winning entry from a stack of 3,500 retail orders placed in the month of August.

The contest was designed as an incentive for retailers to participate in Pure Play's D2R program, which launched Aug. 1.

"D2R orders have been better than expected since we started the program," Arnold told AVN. "We didn't announce this when we started the contest, but we decided to pick two runners-up just to show a little more love."

TLA Video and Seattle-based Cawa placed as the first and second runner-up respectively. They will receive free Pure Play DVDs and other merchandise.

Promotional incentives are a big part of Pure Play's effort to reach out to brick-and-mortar stores and adult e-tailers. The company plans to continue sponsoring monthly contests to increase its customer base.

Customer who placed orders with Pure Play in September are eligible to win an Apple iPhone or iPod. In October, the contest will offer cash prizes.
