110 Media Group Acquires Hosting Co., Prepares Affiliate Program

Publicly-traded Adult company 110 Media Group announced the acquisition of free hosting company Web1000.

Other than a business that has been profitable, the acquisition provides 110 a bevy of traffic for their own sites, as well as traffic they can sell – both Adult and mainstream.

“I saw a product that has over 400,000 domains registered and there are about 400 to 500 new coming out a day, there’s a ton of traffic coming in,” 110 COO Mark Tiarra told AVNOnline.com.

The influx of traffic will be largely directed towards the company’s new Adult affiliate program MobBucks, which features the pay site for Carmen Electra’s Naked Women’s Wrestling League. While it is still in beta, Tiarra said the company will be ready to take on new webmasters by the time Internext rolls around in January.

In the meantime, company executives are working on improving Web1000 after its previous owners, Global Reach Inc., put it on the back burner.

“It was really on cruise control,” Tiarra said. “They weren’t doing anything to improve it or grow it or expand on the ad models. A lot of the back-end stuff the webmasters were using was stuff that wasn’t functioning properly. It just needed some TLC to take it back into the growth patterns and financial levels it was at. Already within a week of having our hands on it, we’ve brought in more money than they’ve seen in a long time.”

Web1000 claims to be the only free U.S. hosting service with no banners, pop-ups or text link ads. The site and hosting service is currently running normally.
