CYBERSPACE—Adult entertainment site xHamster has launched a tongue-in-cheek video that touts its site as a creative way to reduce stress at work.
Taking the form of a field report from TV journalist “Melissa Mountains of News 6,” the video—which can be seen on YouTube.com—goes behind the scenes of a company that is employing an innovative approach to relieving anxiety at the office.
XHamster.com, which since 2007 has been one of the top adult sites according to Alexa rankings, has dubbed this stress reducer the Relax Room. It’s a place where employees can go to enjoy the fare they will find on xHamster. In other words, porn and lots of it—a massive repository to serve all sexual preferences.
In the video, reporter Mountains cruises around the offices of B.B. Worldwide, talking to manager “Jack Mehoff” about his company’s Relax Room. One by one she interviews employees, men and women, as they post an “occupied” sign on the door and enter the Relax Room. By the end of the segment, even the cameraman has slipped inside. “I need to, uh, get some more sound in here,” he says.
“There’s no greater stress reliever than a quick round of masturbation and no greater source of material for that release than xHamster,” the company said in a statement. “Masturbation at work is frowned upon (or strictly forbidden, in all likelihood) in most workplaces, but what if it wasn’t? What if, instead of being fired for a quick self-pleasure session in the bathroom, your workplace had a special room where anyone could go and release the stress of the day by watching porn? Your company would have a Relax Room.”
While some companies prefer massages and gym memberships, xHamster asserts the Relax Room “will trump them all for employee morale. … The Relax Room is the ultimate employee benefit and we’re dedicated to making it a reality!”
