AMSTERDAM—Tomorrow is a big day in the Netherlands, when Dutch citizens across the country celebrate their monarch. King’s Day, celebrated on April 27, is marked with festive outdoor celebrations, with Amsterdam hosting the biggest and most elaborate. More than 1 million revelers will attend the celebrations, which celebrate the reigning royal, Crown-Price Willem-Alexander.
The traditional King’s Day celebration includes a street carnival, dancing and singing, and an open-air market where citizens buy and sell trinkets. Portraits of the current monarch are on display, and streets are decorated with national Dutch flags and bright patches of orange, the traditional color of the monarchy.
To celebrate King’s Day, the organizers of Webmaster Access Amsterdam are offering $100 off registration for the annual webmaster show, taking place September 7-10 in the Dutch cultural capital. To take advantage of the offer, register by May 1 and enter code Kings100 here.
Affiliates, studios and talent always attend free. Registration is sponsored by PussyCash. Those who qualify can register for no charge here.
One reason to act right now is to save $100 on the registration fee. But it’s just as important to also book a room now—before the host hotel fills up. To book a hotel suite, go here.
