Vice Magazine Shows Love to WoodRocket.com & Lee Roy Myers

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Up-and-coming porn and entertainment website WoodRocket.com and one of its creators, Lee Roy Myers, were both featured in a recent article on Vice Magazine's website.

The article, "Lee Roy Myers Wants to Save Porn by Destroying Your Youth," focuses on the award-winning director and how he and his business partners have created WoodRocket.com. This popular new website offers free content, including exclusive adult-themed comedy web series, and original and non-pirated porn, like their recent hit, the weird and wonderful cartoon porn parody, SpongeKnob SquareNuts.

The article can be found here.

As porn fans know, there's a teensy bit of controversy being stirred up by religious/conservative zealots who claim that making parodies of cartoons like Spongebob, or "family movies" like The Wizard of Oz (which critics have noted contains several very un-family moments like Dorothy getting zonked out in a field of opium poppies, and the Wicked Witch of the East getting a house dropped on her) is tantamount to pedophilia, but Myers defends his choice of parody material well.

"First of all, if my goal is to lure in children, I would never make money," Myers rightly observed. "Second, my goal is not to get children to watch porn. It doesn’t make any sense; if a group really did attack me for it, I’d write it off as ridiculous because I know that my intentions are not to sell porn to kids."

He also agreed with interviewer Matthew Francey that his SpongeKnob suit is actually pretty scary for kids.

"It’s very creepy and that’s OK by me," he said. "I don’t think it’s possible to make a live-action walking, talking, fucking Sponge without it being creepy... I always feel a lot better with the cartoons because it’s live action and so, by the very fact that it’s a live action, it’s very obviously a parody."

And besides, the inhabitant of the SpongeKnob suit is the incredibly capable character actor Anthony Rosano, who's essayed several cartoon characters, including Barney Rubble in the Flintstones parody, the Big Bad Wolf in Red Riding Hood XXX, and Roger the Alien in Myers' American Dad parody.

And of course, Myers is happy to have the exposure.

"I want to thank Vice for taking the time to make their readers aware of our hard work," he said.

Bottom line: WoodRocket.com is a free adult site, offering exclusive and high-quality porn, as well as entertaining original web series, such as "James Deen Loves Food," "Memes I'd Like to Fuck" and "Topless Girls Reading Books." WoodRocket has been featured in Vice, The Hollywood Reporter, Gawker, Gizmodo, Maxim, AVN and Fleshbot.
