LONDON—In May, U.K. startup Wick Entertainment will roll out its content platform to a select group of partners. Its new plug-and-play product enables businesses to launch their own branded content platforms.
Similar to how Shopify simplifies launching e-commerce businesses, Wick Entertainment integrates fully branded content platforms into any website without any coding.
"Our plug-and-play solution addresses the complexities and high entry barriers traditionally associated with launching and running a content platform," said Sam Gibbon, co-founder of Wick Entertainment. "Brands can now engage directly with the expansive creator market and enjoy our fully managed service with zero resource requirement, allowing them to focus on growing their business."
The launch comes at a time when 17 percent of consumers subscribe to creator sites, and similar numbers engage through tips and paid memberships.
Wick Entertainment’s platform facilitates a network effect, allowing cross-pollination across partner sites, and allowing creators to enhance their reach and monetization potential across multiple audiences.
In anticipation of the launch, the company has opened a waitlist for brands to sign up.
