Pokmi Launches NFT VOD Feature Pok&Play

PARISPokmi, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, has launched “Pok&Play,” a new Web3 VOD feature that offers content creators a new way to monetize their content on the platform.

Founded in May 2021 by entrepreneurs Nils Lataillade and Marco Garniga, as well as adult content industry veteran Fred Coppula, Pokmi touts itself as the first platform focused on adult content that is accessible via NFTs.

Until recently, the platform’s creators have been able to monetize their content collections by creating and offering their respective NFTs, but these collections may only be unlocked and accessed by the owner of the NFTs.

The rollout of Pok&Play allows content creators to rent their secret content for a small amount without requiring the consumer to purchase the NFT. They can access it for a limited time through Pok&Play in exchange for Pokmi’s official cryptocurrency, $PKN.

$PKN is listed on the MEXC exchange in order to expand the French company’s audience internationally as it is established in more than 200 countries and regions with more than 6 million users.

The Pok&Play feature allows platform creators a new way to make money through their content and profit from royalties linked to the resale and streaming of the NFTs. NFT owners can benefit from the opportunity of generating revenue through the streaming of the content.

In the summer of 2021, the company closed a $10.7M ICO, issuing nearly 1.5 billion of $PKN, which Pokmi envisions becoming the sustainable funding vehicle for the adult entertainment industry.

Pok&Play is the first of a series of new product roll-outs planned by Pokmi in 2022 for both users and content creators.
