FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—Digital payment processor leader Segpay has announced the launch of its Merchant Services Group, a dedicated team specializing in direct merchant account placement, gateway and other specialized services for e-commerce businesses. Since 2005, Segpay has operated as a Payment Facilitator, concentrating on a subset of the entire e-commerce market. Building on its strength in processing payments online, its reputation with the credit card brands and established banking network, Segpay is now able to expand its market reach by offering Gateway and Direct Merchant Accounts, adding to the company’s total package of payment solutions for virtually any type of merchant.
Segpay has spent years as a Payment Facilitator taking on the risk for its merchants and working hard to build strong relationships with acquirers and the card brands. That same “skin in the game” attitude will now be applied to clients who need their own merchant account at one of Segpay’s many acquirers. Segpay works directly with several trusted banks around the globe including four in the U.S. and six in Europe. The Merchant Services Group, led by Segpay Sales Director Kristi Greer, supports direct account placement, pairing merchants with banks to get them up and running with reliable and secure transfer of funds.
“Many of our merchants are considered high-risk with no access to a merchant bank account,” said Cathy Beardsley, CEO of Segpay. “We have deep relationships with acquiring banks and credit card networks allowing our merchants to build their reputation on ours as we help them through the process every step of the way.
Segpay supports secure high-volume credit card processing globally with direct-debit authorizations in Europe and offers robust fraud detection and prevention capabilities. Its suite of services is tailored to merchant needs, including flexible pricing options, recurring payments, one-click purchases and instant conversions. Segpay also supports merchant upsells and localizes currency and languages with dedicated tools for “cam” and other “tele” services.
“We’ve had many pieces of the merchant services puzzle for several years and now have the total package backed by a dedicated team of professionals,” said Kristi Greer.
