AUSTIN, Texas—While webcamming continues to grow in popularity, little is known about the models and their personal experiences. In an attempt to fill the gaps, YNOT and sociologist Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals developed the YNOT Cam Model Survey.
Tibbals and YNOT are looking for models and chat hosts of all experience levels to participate, as well as help spread the word about the survey on social media and within the model community. Increasing the number of survey participants will increase the validity of the results.
The information gathered will be used to write a detailed report, and the final results will be made public for everyone in the industry (and beyond) to peruse. This will help members of the webcam community—and society at large—better understand the issues models face. It also will assist policymakers in creating more effective services and give the mainstream media and culture an accurate picture of exactly what it takes to be a cam model.
As a thank you for their time, four randomly selected model participants will receive $250 in consumer traffic, donated by JuicyAds, ClickAdu and DivaTraffic.
This project upholds the highest ethical standards and methodological rigor. Participation is voluntary and will be kept confidential. Respondents are not asked for their names in any form. Email addresses will never be sold or shared, and all data will be anonymized. Questions and topics were vetted and tested by members of the cam community, including current models, in an effort to ensure relevance and viability.
