LOS ANGELES -OC Cash has launched PornClassics.com, a new website featuring content from the golden age of porn through an exclusive subscription deal with VCX Pictures.
The site features legendary movies such as Debbie Does Dallas and The Devil in Miss Jones, and adult film legends of the day like Seka, John Holmes, Amber Lynn, Carol Connors, Annette Haven, Annie Sprinkle and many other famous names of the 1970s and '80s.
Some of the movies have never been issued on DVD and were only released on VHS and are long out of print.
"We made an exclusive deal with VCX, in its heyday the biggest of the classic studios of the period," OC Cash Owner/director of marketing Jay Quinlan told AVN Online. "We're concentrating on the pre-‘95 catalog. We started with as many titles as we could so there were enough for people to want to join. Then, to keep them around, we'll keep adding to the library."
OC Cash plans to double the size of the site by the end of the year as it continues to add the VCX library along with content from other studios.
"There'll be more until we run through the entire VCX catalog and they're in the midst of the acquisition of some other old school studios' catalogs, so we'll have access to that material as well and any library they buy will go up on the site eventually," he said.
Quinlan sees the new site as also bringing in an audience that may not be interested in contemporary porn as much as those classics they grew up with.
"That was a big thing, I thought - the novelty and the appeal of it," he said. "A lot of these guys will be older and it's like music or any kind of pop culture - you remember whatever it was you were doing in your late teens or early ‘20s and gravitate back to it. People will go, ‘wow, I haven't thought of that film forever and would love to see that again.' This [site] gives them that opportunity."
The site is offering $30-35 per paid signup and revenue sharing.
Site features include RSS feeds, tube promo clips, 30-second embedded clips for blogs, free hosted reviews, free hosted sites for link lists, free content, free hosting, free hosted galleries, and free hosted sites for link lists.
