Nutaku.net Launches First Annual 'Celebrate Hentai' Online Event

LOS ANGELES—Nutaku.net has unveiled its first annual Celebrate Hentai online event at CelebrateHentai.com. The campaign launched today and continues through September 28.

Despite the art form being a global phenomenon, it is considered taboo within mainstream audiences due to its sexually explicit nature. To better reach that audience, Nutaku has created a safe-for-work online platform showcasing the origins of hentai and its reason to exist.

Whether it be artwork, movies, music or video games, hentai serves a significantly large fanbase around the world, according to Nutaku. The online portal highlights the eccentric art form as it features not only original commissioned art pieces through an art gallery experience, but also the magnitude of its influence across genres.

Nutaku notes that millions across the globe identify as hardcore hentai aficianados, as seen in subtle pop culture references, yet the art form is still repressed just like other now popular underground artwork once was when it started off.
