SAN DIEGO—Naughty America on Wednesday announced the launch of new sister creator platform, ExtraNaughty.com
The launch comes following a closed-beta-testing period for the site, which emulates TikTok’s focus on vertical video, but remains a safe haven for content from creators of adult entertainment.
“As a studio, we see ourselves as creators, so it was a natural next step for us to bridge the gap between creator and studio,” Extra Naughty platform lead Scott Man said. “And now that our platform has entered open beta, we aim to do just that.”
Man expounderd, “TikTok’s format is very powerful. So we knew from the get-go that we wanted to focus on vertical video, and with Extra Naughty we really put the emphasis on that. There is just something about the vertical format filling your mobile screen that is truly hypnotic and brings a whole new value to the creator’s content.”
In addition to native vertical video, Extra Naughty allows creators the ability to quickly crop horizontal video during the upload process, Man said, adding that it’s just one of the many tools and assets the new platform will offer.
“With an abundance of platforms for creators to choose from these days, we wanted to focus on the tools and features they would benefit from the most,” Man said. “Instead of focusing on competing with other major platforms, we want to offer them something that compliments the successes they have had elsewhere.”
One available feature is the Store option, which allows creators to promote content in their store via a link, without having to promote a subscription at the same time, according to Man.
ExtraNaughty.com—now available for both creators and fans alike—will continue to work toward expanding its toolbox for everyone.
“We wanted to build the kind of platform we would want to use ourselves, we wanted to offer choice,” Man concluded. “Some creators focus on PPV content while others focus on subscriptions. And some may just want to upload clips and drive traffic to their brand. With Extra Naughty, they can do all of that and more. This is just the beginning.”
