MyFreeCams Model Stefanie Joy Cuts Ribbon to Open 2017 AVN Show

LAS VEGAS—When MyFreeCams model Stefanie Joy first heard she would be cutting the ceremonial ribbon to start the 2017 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, she didn’t believe it.

“They told me for about two weeks and I thought they were joking with me,” Joy told AVN Wednesday just moments after she did the honors outside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

“And they were like ‘no, you’re really doing it.’ I’m beyond honored. If there was a word that I could think of beyond honored, I would use it but I can’t think of one. Just totally honored and very grateful that they chose me to do this.”

Standing alongside AVN Media Network CEO Tony Rios, Joy took the giant scissors and officially opened the four-day convention, presented exclusively by MyFreeCams.

The 22-year-old native of Bullhead City, Ariz., said she couldn’t wait to experience her first full AVN Show this week with her fans and friends.

“I was only here at AVN last year on one day for two hours. And I went and had a penthouse party for some of my members and then I went home. So this is my actual first AVN,” Joy said. “I’ve done all the Exxxoticas and stuff like that, but this is my first AVN. So I’m really excited.

“I have a lot of people coming to see me, too. I’m going to be at the booth every single day and I’m going to be broadcasting with [Harli Lotts]. We’re going to be teaming up.”

She also said she plans on having a lot of downtime with her members at the show and “getting to actually spend face-to-face time with them and then hang out with MFC afterwards like I usually do.”

The AVN Expo will feature more than 500 adult stars and 200-plus exhibitors showcasing their products and services.

MyFreeCams.com will exhibit at AEE, expanding their presence at this year’s show with a spacious booth in Muse Hall and in the entrance area. MFC will accommodate more than 500 cam girls this week.

The national media came out in force for this year's event, as reporters and video crews from publications such as Vice, Yahoo! News, Tech Crunch, HuffPost, Vocativ, LA Times, Las Vegas Review Journal, MSNBN, CNBC, Engadget, Esquire and Getty Images, among numerous others, are all at the show.
