PHILADELPHIA - Monica L., aka Venus Vegas, has been promoted to manager of the affiliate program and marketing department at Hot Movies.
Monica previously served as account manager and general "right hand" to James Cybert, director of business development for Hot Movies.
"I have been with HotMovies since its early days, and the company has allowed me to really pave my own path," Monica said. "I am looking forward to this new responsibility and very excited to really bring our team together and grow HotMovies.com and MovieDollars.com even bigger."
Monica has been with Hot Movies four years ago, and has spent the past 2½ years working in the Movie Dollars department of the company.
In her new position, she will manage employees of the department, oversee affiliate managers and online marketing and work to improve systems and work flow.
Monica was also responsible for the development of the company's Hot Movies For Her, sister site to the video-on-demand site. Hot Movies for Her features a newly expanded blog section with increased categorization, improved navigation and more personalization and is led by an all-woman team.
