London Pub Owner Wins Right to Open Strip Club

LONDON - A landlord has won the right to open a strip club in his pub.

Kenneth Linwood of the London Borough of Lewisham challenged a decision by the local council to prevent him from bringing dancers into his White Hart Hotel.

The Magistrates' Court approved his appeal and ordered the council to pay him £4,000 ($5800).

Though local residents have expressed concern over his plans, Linwood said, "I've always tried to run the pub well and ensure the minimum disruption to local people and that will continue."
