Kristen Scott Takes Director Seat for MissaX With 'Wrong Sister'

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Award winner Kristen Scott has appeared regularly before the cameras of boutique website MissaX.com over the past year, and now she expands her relationship with the company by choosing it as the platform to make her directorial debut.

That debut, featurette The Wrong Sister, bows Thursday on the site, and Scott wrote, produced and co-stars in it as well. The 2018 AVN Best Supporting Actress hired her own crew and castmates—Leigh Raven and Isiah Maxwell—for the project, and is doing the same for the several other works she has in the pipeline for the company.

Saying she "just really connected with" company owner/director/namesake Missa X, Scott told AVN, "She really loved my acting and how I brought her characters to life. She appreciated my perspective and input when we were on set together and I guess those experiences just planted the seed for my directorial debut."

She continued, "To be honest, I have had a habit of not giving myself the credit I deserve as a performer, so when Missa asked me to direct for her I was very surprised. But I did some thinking, I really took time to discuss the opportunity with loved ones, and eventually came to the conclusion that this was what I wanted. It all clicked for me and I immediately started brainstorming and writing stories.

"It's been challenging," Scott confessed, "but I'm so pleased with everything I've created with these talented performers. I've learned so much already and I'm just so excited for the future."

As a company synopsis explains, The Wrong Sister finds Scott and Raven playing estranged siblings meeting up after "Leigh has escaped an abusive relationship and is looking to start a new life. The two haven't had the best relationship growing up. Kristen is narcissistic, self absorbed, and Leigh loves her sister despite her flaws. Kristen drifted away from Leigh when she moved from Colorado to California. Leigh meets Kristen's boyfriend [Maxwell] and is shocked at how kind he is, how much he loves her sister. She envies Kristen. The more Leigh sees their relationship, the more she sees a similarity between Kristen and her ex-boyfriend Jack in their abusive behavior. Leigh builds a friendship with Isiah, and she decides to protect him. 'You chose the wrong sister,' she purrs as her breasts are pushed up against his chest. 'Let me save you.'"

"I want to show a different side to Leigh Raven," Scott said. "I want people to see her as an incredible actor. She can play vulnerable, sweet, and she can play dominant and aggressive. Leigh has a very alternative look. I think there are many actors that are typecast because of their look. Within the first five minutes of watching this scene, you'll start to notice Leigh, and not her tattoos."

Beyond The Wrong Sister, Scott has thus far directed three more on-the-way featurettes for MissaX.com and sister all-girl site AllHerLuv.com.
