Janine Lindemulder Out of Prison

LOS ANGELES—Adult performer Janine Lindemulder, sentenced to prison for tax evasion, has been released some two months early, AVN.com learned Monday.

Longtime friend, world-renowned Penthouse photographer and filmmaker Earl Miller, who runs her website FreeJanine.com, confirmed that Lindemulder was being picked up in Victorville, Calif., by her son, and driving to a halfway house in Hollywood where she'll serve out the remainder of her sentence.

Miller assumed part of the reason for the early release stemmed from good behavior, but was unable to confirm it.

"I know they cut two months off," he told AVN.com. "But communicating with her in prison hasn't been the easiest thing; they really monitor and censor all letters and emails so I don't know exactly what's gone through." Miller said his main job has been running the FreeJanine site, launched as she headed into prison.

"It's doing very well," Miller said. "Her initial interview with Howard Stern back in March resulted in a huge number of joins. Once of the scenes we shot was hardcore, with Vaniity, the transsexual performer. We got her on Howard to promote the site in June, and once again there was a great response."

In a March AVN.com interview Lindemulder said she was heading into prison with a positive attitude, focusing on her mental and physical health.

Lindemulder could not be reached at the time of this story.
