LOS ANGELES—The classic "Lemon Stealing Whores" video seen by millions will now call JamesDeen.com home after the site regained licensing rights to the viral sensation.
The video will appear on JamesDeen.com beginning Thursday, February 7.
"I love this video," site owner and namesake James Deen said. "It is one of my favorite scenes I've ever appeared in. I am happy that the response to this epic masterpiece has been so grand throughout the years. One day I hope everyone can find something they love as much as I love lemons."
This acquisition represents the first of Deen's vast catalogue of scenes from his 16-year performing career that he hopes to eventually buy back and host on his flagship site, turning it into a "one-stop-shop of all things James Deen."
In honor of the star's birthday and the re-release of "Lemon Stealing Whores," JamesDeen.com is offering free 72-hour trial memberships.
"I feel it is very important that everyone gets an opportunity to view the 'Lemon Stealing Whores' video," Deen asserted. "Plus, it is already on YouTube so what the hell. Join for free and enjoy the site for a few days!"
"Lemon Stealing Whores" originally appeared in the 2006 Smash Pictures release Virgin Territory; the safe-for-work intro to the scene was uploaded to YouTube in 2012 and quickly became somewhat of a phenomenon, inspiring parodies, memes and more, and to date receiving over 4 million views.
