Jacquie & Michel Group Adds New Child Protection: My18Pass

PARIS—After months of internal development, the Jacquie & Michel Group has announced that it has begun implementing its new online protocols created for the protection of minors on the Internet.

My18Pass is currently being incorporated to filter content on the group’s network, and the Jacquie & Michel Group will be making the program available to every business operator who would like to benefit from this handy and reliable protection system.

As soon as aa user arrives on an adult site protected by My18Pass, the program will be able to check, via credit card-based verification, if the user is old enough to access the site. Improvements are already in development which will soon add ID-based verification (identity card and passport) to the process.

My18Pass is based on the OpenID protocol (also used by Google, Facebook and Twitter), which allows users to authenticate themselves on several websites without having to remember logins for each one of them but by using a unique user ID every time. By never recording or transferring any personal data, it guarantees total protection for the user.

Thanks to this technology, the Jacquie & Michel Group has added an additional tool to its child protection arsenal. The group’s websites have used the RTA Label for many years, which is distinctly detected by parental control softwares, and the My18Pass software has been added in order to ensure that no minor can easily access sensitive content.
