CYBERSPACE—In response to the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests worldwide, the Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD) on Tuesday released a statement expressing support for the BLM movement and announcing changes it plans to implement across its site regarding the tags it uses to classify sex scenes and movies.
"We stand up for black performers who have been made to feel fetishized, minimized, and othered in these categories," that statement said.
It went on to note that the archival site has eliminated all race-based categories from its annual Spank Bank Awards, and has made a donation to assistance program The Black Sex Worker Collective.
