FreeOnes Asks Webmasters to Increase Revenue-Share Rate

DRIEBERGEN, Netherlands - FreeOnes.com has sent email to several webmasters, asking them to consider raising the company's rate of revenue share from 60 percent to 70 percent.

"If this is not a feasible request for you, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to promote your program at the same level as we have before," the email said. "Instead, we will be focusing on the programs that are able to meet our needs."

The European-based company said it made the request because of the declining value of the U.S. dollar and because there is "no relief in sight."

In a discussion at GFY.com, most posters viewed the request favorably.

"I don't see anything wrong with this," one poster wrote. "When a sponsor pays a higher [percentage] than others, it's more than [logical] that they receive more traffic than the others. You push your traffic toward your best-converting and highest-paying sponsors. That's simply doing good business, in my book. You're leaving money on the table if you don't."
