Fetish-Community Site Social Kink Launches

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After a successful soft launch earlier this month, Social Kink, a social-networking site for the fetish community, now is up and running.

Social Kink features include uncensored profiles, news, blogs, groups, forums, matchmaking and an event calendar. In addition to site exclusives and profile verification, the site features interviews with stars such as Midori, Steve Diet Goedde, Isabella Sinclaire, Julie Simone and Combichrist.

"We want to create a place where the best of fetish entertainment and education will come together in one central location," said Manager Nikki Nefarious, a fetish photographer, shibari artist and performer. "The fetish community is all about freedom to explore, and it is our aim to provide an ideal online location for that freedom to be experienced."

As part of its educational focus, Social Kink hosts the "Kinktionary," a wiki-driven resource in which users can post "how to" articles, safety information and entries on their particular brands of kink.

"Education is vital to this community, and Social Kink is here to bring together everyone, from the curious to the well-established lifestyle player," Nikki Nefarious said. "We promote safe, sane and consensual exploration without judgment."
