LOS ANGELES—Ela Darling has been one of the fastest rising actresses/directors/entrepreneurs in recent adult industry memory—so it should probably be no surprise that in November of 2016, she was invited to speak at the first TEDxEBS event in Germany.
Dubbed the “Dare To…” series, Darling’s assignment was to invite the audience to “Dare to See Through New Lenses,” where she would expound upon her life and experiences—notably, her dedication to innovation and technology, and in particular, her strides in pioneering live virtual reality broadcast technology as we know it today— gave her an advantage in an untraditional profession: adult entertainment. Joined by an esteemed roster of other global thinkers and doers, she took the stage on November 5 and the 14 minutes that followed, where her key message evolved into one of “Dare To… Start Over” is now available to watch on TEDx Talks YouTube channel.
Darling speaks emphatically about taking risks and following your passion. As the world’s first VR cam girl, the co-founder and creator of VRTube.xxx, and the driving force behind CAM4VR, Darling’s message was one of encouragement and empowerment.
Reflecting upon her TEDx Talks appearance, Darling stated, “I love being able to share my experiences with others. Being able to share our story of how the company came to be and where we are today compared to the beginning is really rewarding.”
