Derek Meklir Takes Role at Playboy

CHICAGO - Derek Meklir, known for his presence at adult Internet shows and his famed baseball jersey, has left his job as vice president of business development at MrSkin.com and accepted a position at Playboy.

Meklir spent almost six years at Mr. Skin.

"I leave MrSkin.com with the highest respect for the company and its employees, but the time was right to find a new professional challenge and expand into new lines of business," Meklir wrote in a blog at AdultWhosWho.com. "SK Intertainment is going to have many amazing years to come, and although I have mixed feelings about leaving, I am delighted that I will be interacting with them in my new role at Playboy."

In his new role, Meklir will serve as partner manager for Playboy.com, managing Playboy's relationships with key content, e-commerce and distribution partners.

Meklir will officially begin working at Playboy in July. During a transition period, he will remain in an advisory role for AdultWhosWho.com, which is owned by Mr. Skin's parent company, SK Intertainment.

"I couldn't be happier for Derek, personally and professionally," Mr. Skin said. "We discussed how this would affect both parties positively, and I fully support his decision to move on to Playboy. They have gained a great asset with Derek joining their team."
