How did you get started running your own site?
I got approached four years ago by my current business partner. I love working on new projects, so I teamed up with him and started shooting right away. Now my main website, ClubSophieDee.com, has been up for four years, and still gets updated two times per week. I also have other websites.
What’s the most rewarding thing about running your own website? What’s the most challenging thing?
I think having it get nominated for awards and having great, loyal members is the best thing. I love keeping my members happy so I often stream live sex shows and do contests. Having websites takes up a lot of time, but to me it’s fun and I like to stay busy.
Describe your dream shoot.
Oh boy, I think it would have to be Jean Val Jean and Rocco Siffredi d.p.’ing me! Although this will have to remain a fantasy because Jean retired.
If you weren’t a performer, what else would you do?
I’d like to be a home care nurse for seniors, which hopefully I’ll be going to school for soon.
How do you plan to keep your website profitable?
I think the key is diversity. I have live sex shows and offer stuff that my DVDs don’t offer.
Where do you see the online industry headed?
I’m honestly not sure. Hopefully they will find a way to ban free porn and things can get better for everyone.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve had in the business?
I’ve learned that you should only do things you are 100 percent happy doing. Not all money is good money.
What do you like best about the adult industry?
I love my fans; I love all the attention. I also love awards nominations and hope someday the nominations will turn into a win.
If you could change one thing about the business, what would it be?
No more free porn!
