CamSoda’s Latest App, O-Cast, Connects People in Unique Ways

LOS ANGELES—In three short years, CamSoda has made a name for itself in both adult and mainstream not only as a leading adult entertainment webcam platform CamSoda, but also as a company willing to innovate and take a chance.

Previously, the web company has partnered with pleasure products manufacturers such as Kiiroo to combine virtual reality content and teledildonics, as well as developed and launched two apps: OhRoma (a VR experiences that incorporates smell) and BlowCast (a collection of simulated blowjobs enjoyed with a Bluetooth-connected pleasure product).

"We wanted to provide our fans with a unique opportunity to engage with their loved ones/favorite pornstars and cam models via cutting edge technology that integrated teledildonics," said CamSoda Vice President Darren Press. "Since the launch of BlowCast, and now O-Cast, our fans have responded with overwhelming positivity, touting our ability to connect them with their loved ones/favorite pornstars and cam models, providing them with enhanced engagement unlike anything ever before. It’s something we plan on continuing into the foreseeable future."

Now, to complement the BlowCast app, CamSoda launched the O-Cast app, an online marketplace where users can create, share and collect simulated oral sex experiences. The app—which is compatible with Android and iOS, or can be used via desktop—lets users move a dot on their screen with their tongue or their finger to create and record patterns that an be uploaded to CamSoda’s O-Cast page. Users who own the Lush vibrator—a bluetooth-enabled, remote control vibrator from Lovense—can pair any of the recordings to their sex toy and enjoy the ride, so to speak.

"O-Cast was always something we wanted to launch," Press said. "Following the overwhelming response we received with BlowCast, we thought what better time than National Women’s Month to provide for our female fans? It made perfect sense."

The O-Cast app is already generating buzz in the mainstream world, getting write ups on websites for Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, The Huffington Post and more Even late-night television host James Corden talked about it on Thursday night’s The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

While Corden pointed out the app is perfect for long-distance couples, he couldn’t help but poke fun at one of the obvious drawbacks.

“And you thought it was annoying when people FaceTimed in public?” he asked members of the audience, before noting that using your tongue to control the app is an added bonus because “it cleans all those finger smudges off your phone screen.”

There are already more than 150 pre-recorded oral sex simulations on the site. Users with the Lush can download the selection for free until March 31; beginning April 1 the recording will cost $0.99 each.

"We have a number of exciting initiatives planned in the coming weeks/months," Press added. "I don’t want to blow our entire load and reveal everything right now but I can say they will most definitely feature cutting edge technology and enhance our fans interactions with their loved ones/favorite pornstars and cam models. Stay tuned!"
