LOS ANGELES—CAM4 on Friday announced its sponsorship of AIDS Walk New York this Sunday.
As one of the largest gay cams communities in the adult space, CAM4.com invites fans and performers to join them in raising awareness and supporting the nation’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), via donations, physical participation and general support throughout the week and on the day of the event.
CAM4 says it's the first adult entertainment company to sponsor the annual AIDS Walk New York event. As a company that prides itself on its sense of community and acceptance, participating in this event was of major interest to its Larry West, regional events manager, for a number of reasons.
“CAM4 isn’t just about adult entertainment, we strive to help those in need and foster a community environment that brings everyone together to make a difference," West said. "We want our viewers and performers to be activists and advocates of global social issues.
“We are committed to the empowerment of the LGBTQ community and we will continue to align ourselves with charities and fundraising initiatives thus working towards the greater good of helping people.”
AIDS Walk New York is the largest single-day AIDS fundraising event in the world. Having raised nearly 150 million to combat the spread of HIV and AIDS, the proceeds are used to cover prevention, care and the advocacy programs that GMHC provides for thousands of individuals and families affected in the tri-state area. CAM4 has not only opted to be sponsoring with their brand presence, but they will also be walking in the event showing their support.
The CAM4 Team encourages all of its fans and supporters to become informed and consider contributing to the cause alongside them. For more information, visit cam4.biz/c/aidswalk/.
