BERLIN—Voiyal, the Berlin-based audio startup for monetizing intimate voice messages, announced Friday that it is closing its doors due to a lack of new investments.
After launching in 2022, the platform onboarded a roster of adult stars including Janice Griffith, Spencer Bradley, Danika Maia, Sabien Demonia, Carly Rae, Shanice Luv, Prince Jean, Madi Meadows and more.
Commented founders Pauline Schmiechen and Florian Pontalti, “We are incredibly sad to see our dream end early like this. We gave our hearts to build this platform as a creator-first safe space to explore the beauty of intimate audio. Facing the stigma of our marginalized industry and the collapse of major institutions, we tried our best to secure another funding to bring Voiyal to the next level. Now we have to close our doors as surely not the first underfunded startup in our industry, but hopefully as one of the last.
"With this clear decision, we also want to protect our creators from further uncertainty in already volatile times," the partners added. "Thank you to all our visionary creators, users and people who believed in us nevertheless until the last day. Hope to see you again soon!“
