Amouranth Purchases Co-Ownership Stake in Esports Company

HOUSTON—AVN Award-winning adult performer Amouranth, also known by her real name, Kaitlyn Siragusa, recently announced her latest mainstream venture: purchasing a stake in the popular esports company Wildcard Gaming. Capitalizing on her persona as a Twitch and Kick streamer engaged in video game culture, Amouranth is now the co-owner of Wildcard.

"As someone who has been heavily involved in the Twitch space, from the start, I thought I should start diversifying my content more into gaming," Amouranth told AVN. "Additionally, I was looking into my next business venture, and it seemed like a great opportunity. I think that esports has not been the most profitable area in the past year or so.

"However, with creators like me partnering with esports teams like Wildcard, who have been doing extremely well already, we can bring much-needed stimulation to the scene," she said.

Wildcard Gaming is a professional esports organization that has fielded teams at the highest levels. According to the esports team statistics website Esports Charts, Wildcard has won nearly $900,000 in prize money across several games and tournaments. Wildcard has fielded teams for titles like Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends and Dota 2.

In a press release, Wildcard lauded Amouranth and said that her investment and involvement will help turn the team "into a stable and growing esports organization poised to take big steps of 2024." The company added that she "will take a vested interest in growing the organization's popularity throughout the North American region."

“With the esports industry beginning to stabilize coming out of a few tumultuous years, we felt now was the best time to make a move,” company co-owner John Griffin said. “Kaitlyn is not just a massive personality, she is an incredibly smart businesswoman. She is thoughtful and calculated, just as we are. Her impact on our organization will be immediate.”

Amouranth has made dozens of viral news headlines in the past with her business ventures. For example, she purchased a $17 million 2,213-acre fruit orchard in Florida to surpass tech mogul Bill Gates in terms of farmland holdings. She added that her purchase of the orchard, which she announced in November 2023, was presented as a "stability" investment.

Another of the many mainstream ventures in which Amouranth has partaken is the use of her vaginal yeast by a beer brewing company called Yoni, which produces a line of specialty beverages dubbed "Essence of Amouranth." These include an alcoholic beer and a non-alcoholic "potion" that can be used in cocktails. But Amouranth stresses that her mainstream work won't detract from her streamer and adult content work.

"It is a constant grind," she said. "I stream on average about 12 hours a day, and I have a wonderful team behind me to help me create even more content from that and manage a lot of my socials. It's all about finding every worthwhile opportunity, no matter how small it may seem at first, and maximizing its potential to the fullest.

"I think there is a stigma that adult creators are pegged into their own hole and stuck there, and I disagree with that," she added. "Just because you create adult content does not mean that you're just another porn star. If you want to be a gaming streamer, a funny YouTuber, or start a side business, just go do it!

"Most creators give up because it becomes a lot to handle, and understandably so, but with the right assistance, you can do whatever you want."
