After VR Porn, Naughty America Now Offering ‘Augmented Reality’

Naughty America, the tech-oriented adult entertainment company that debuted a line of virtual reality porn offerings three years ago, has now taken their technology to another level with their new app on display at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas—“AR,” or “augmented reality” porn.

Available for Android devices, the app comes complete with video loops of porn models, which can be made to appear on the device’s screen as if they are occupying the same space as the user.

As explained by the site Android Authority, “Using the app, you can place a video loop of a model anywhere in your surrounding area via your smartphone screen. Once you place the model you can shrink or expand the image to make it size-appropriate for your space. Furthermore, you can then move around the room while the model stays in place, giving you the illusion that the model is actually there in the room.”

A brief video demonstration (from which the above image is taken), using a lingerie-clad model performing a pole dance, can be viewed at this link.

The AR app is the latest technological innovation that Naughty America has applied to porn in the past six months. As AVN.com reported, in August the company adopted an artificial intelligence program to offer its members custom “deepfakes” porn videos.

Deepfakes first appeared in late 2017, and were generally porn clips with the faces of well-known celebrities superimposed on a porn performer’s body using AI, producing a realistic (as far as it goes) porn video in which the celebrity’s facial expressions appear to realistically respond to the situation taking place in the porn clip. Deepfakes were quickly banned by many platforms, including Reddit where they originated, as a form of non-consensual porn.

But Naughty America offered consensual deepfakes, allowing users to put their own faces into porn scenarios, “starring” in their own porn scenes.
