CHARLOTTE, NC—Straight viewers in California watched far more pornographic films via streaming video-on-demand during April than people in any other state, according to AEBN, which has just released its first VOD Trend Report.
AEBN tracks VOD activity and statistics, including title and geography; as a global leader in the adult market, it is in a unique position to reflect on the other side of Hollywood.
"The results from April of this year are pretty much in line with the populations of the states, although the fact that New York edged out Texas was somewhat of a surprise since there are four million more people in Texas," said VP of Sales and Marketing Jerry Anders.
Following California in the rankings were New York, Texas and Florida. The horniest heterosexuals were found in Los Angeles, New York City, Houston, Miami, San Francisco, Rochester, Dallas and Orlando. In Canada, the three horniest cities, based on minute sales, were Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.
"What we continue to see are users looking for less conventional sex," added Anders. "While this doesn't mean that the missionary position is out of favor, it does show that the global community is not against exploring other options."
AEBN reports the top five straight VOD movies in April were:
1. Sorry Daddy, Whitezilla Split My Little ***hole, starring Debbie White (Hush Hush Entertainment)
2. Prison Girls, starring Alexis Texas, Bobbi Starr, Lily Labeau (Elegant Angel Productions)
3. The Stepmother 4, starring 2011 AVN MILF of the Year Julia Ann (Mile High Media/Sweet Sinner)
4. Friends and Family 2 (Smash Pictures, AEBN's 2011 Studio of the Year)
5. Monsters Of Jizz 31: Step-Dad's A Pervert, (Image Video)
Euro kink studio BerlinStar Film also made an impressive showing with its surprise she-male hit, Bitch Boys, the second transsexual film to date from a studio that usually produces gay content.
The top VOD gay releases in April were:
1. TIMF*ck (Treasure Island Media)
2. Shear Chaos: Raw Piss (ChaosMen)
3. Suck Dick, Save The World (Treasure Island Media)
4 Busted and Abused, starring Denis Reed (Dirty F*ckers Studio)
5. Raw Power (RawStrokes.com)
Of note in the complete list is that Camando Films cracked the top 20 with its very first title on the AEBN network, XXL Bareback Machos, starring hot Dutch import Peto Coast.
Based on VOD purchases, top gay cities in the U.S. in April 2011 included Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston and Cambridge. In the U.K., the most VOD action came from London, Kensington and Lambeth.
