LOS ANGELES—PVR Inc., a provider of adult content in the emerging virtual reality market, on Monday announced the appointment of Anna Lee as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Lee will play a leading role in developing PVR’s operational strategies in order to capitalize on the anticipated long-term growth of the emerging VR technology, and is looking forward to collaborating with PVR’s Chief Marketing Officer and adult performer, Ela Darling.
“I love working with startups and in the VR Space, plus the team is amazing… but the chance to work with Ela Darling — whom I admire greatly — was what sealed the deal for me,” said Lee.
“I’m impressed with the company’s state-of-the-art PVR IRIS headset, and I see its potential for becoming a strong contender in the VRHDM Market; the development of their own VR Camera was a great draw for me, and PVR.fun has incredible potential to become the go-to content platform for all adult VR content… plus it’s great a place for me to host my own content.”
Lee’s career in adult began in the early ‘00s when she co-founded phone sex companyCourt3san; in 2005 she advanced into the VR market as President of Utherverse Digital (architects of adult virtual world Red Light Center) and in 2015 as President and Executive Producer of HoloFilm Productions, creators of HoloGirlsVR — the first VR studio to win AVN’s 2017 Best VR Site award and Best VR Scene, and the most-nominated VR studio under her management.
This year, under Lee’s leadership, HoloGirlsVR.com is up for three AVN Awards nominations: Best Virtual Reality Product/Site, Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene (for Brett Rossi Upskirt) and Best Director - Web Channel/Site for Lee, who is the first director to be nominated for work on a VR-only studio.
“I have felt the strong desire to work on my own content for some time, and create a brand that is truly reflective of my own creativity and vision,” said Lee, who has spent 14 of a nearly 20 year career in the adult industry, involved in VR and Virtual World technologies.
“In order to create demand for content, we need to get headsets into the hands of people… PVR solved this problem for me. I can use my experience and expertise in this segment of the industry to get VR headsets out in the market and create an environment that supports my content creation goals.”
Lee’s goals for PVR in 2019 include “selling as many IRIS headsets as possible to create the tipping point necessary to push VR where we need it to go in order to create a massive need for amazing VR content… we are launching exciting projects in the new year and looking to collaborate with other studios on content… we welcome their input!”
