LIVONIA, Mich. - XXXsutra, described by its creators as "an upscale online adult social networking community" has launched, offering a clean interface through which users can present sexually explicit content and videos.
Among the features offered by XXXsutra are a Web-cam recorder, external video and audio uploading, the ability to create personal video and photo albums, AJAX file uploading, Flash player, tagged and categorized browsing, comments, blogs, forums, RSS feeds, and video email. Many of the videos featured at XXXsutra are amateur videos.
Stating its purpose is to "redefine sexual desire," the site supports the MPEG, DAT, WMV, AVI, MOV, and FLV video file formats (all of which are delivered via Flash). It also supports JPEG images and MP3 audio files.
The site's name is derived from the Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian text widely considered to be the preeminent work about love in Sanskrit literature. A small portion of the work deals with human sexual behavior.
