TEMPE, Ariz. - After a day full of workshops and seminars, everyone yesterday evening had the chance to unwind and relax while attendees schmoozed with their contemporaries at the Mission Palms Hotel courtyard for the CCBill-sponsored Phoenix Forum Reception Party. There were plenty of finger-foods to choose from and, as always, there was everyone’s favorite party guest: the open bar. The festivities began at 7 p.m. and continued for a few hours until guests arranged to hit other scheduled parties taking place last night. Things at the Phoenix Forum got off to a modest but festive start for the gay webmasters, who partied hard in downtown Phoenix at the Gay Webmaster Kick-Off Party. Sponsored by Dirty Ducats, the intimate bash was held at the Amsterdam bar in downtown Phoenix, and provided a relaxed taste of what was to come later back at the Mission Palms in Room 2069, where PrideBucks and ManSites hosted the first of three Late Night Suites to be held this week. Straight webmasters eventually joined the party, which lasted well into the morning.
Shortly after the Phoenix Forum Reception Party, GFY threw a poolside party at the Mission Palms Hotel pool, which began at 10 p.m. and lasted until the wee hours of the morning. Thankfully, the party was quite accessible, considering its only requirement was a walk up to the second floor of the hotel, where guests were greeted with even more open bars and, oh yeah, boxing. Attendees strapped on their oversized boxing gloves and jumped into the ring to give it their best shot. Around 10:30, a dozen or so beautiful women wearing only panties and painted breasts made their splash—without even entering the pool. The girls, representing Playboy Webmasters, were quite a hit, as most flocked to them in order to get their picture taken.
