BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – He’s not quite a religious icon, but Players Ball producer and marketing guru Darren “D-Money” Blatt now is the subject of a website that puts him in a similar influence game. Friday marked the launch of WhatWouldDMoneyDo, which is devoted to posting creative posers with creative responses — all in good fun.“The idea of the website was created as an inside joke at Cybernet Expo in Tampa, while Mark and Travis from SexDateCash, Tom Hymes of Xbiz, and I were hanging out,” said Brandon “Fight the Patent”Shalton, creator of T3Report.“We were talking about goofy scenarios, and I had a flashback to [‘South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut’], where they were saying, ‘What would Brian Boitano do?’” Shalton said. “So I blurted out, ‘What would D-Money do?’ A short pause, and then a burst of laughter, and the website idea was born.”SexDateCash owner Mark immediately registered the domain name using his mobile phone.Shalton subsequently told Blatt about the idea.“I think the site will be a fun entertainment site,” Blatt told AVN Online. “Webmasters can think up scenarios and be original about off-the-wall situations. I’m also interested in hearing the answers, as well. People often wonder, ‘What would D-Money do?’ Now, they’ll know.”Visitors to the website can suggest scenarios and add their own responses to posted scenarios. Blatt will rate the responses according to their degrees of “pimpness.”The most current incarnation of The Players Ball will occur during Internext. It will begin at 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in Great Hall 1 next to the exhibit hall at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. Also featured will be Florida's hottest strippers and live performances by the Ying Yang Twins. Visitors will need an Internext show badge to gain access.
