Webmaster Toy Run Silent Auction Under Way

LOS ANGELES - Webmaster Toy Run's fourth annual silent auction continues online through Dec. 4.

The event raises money to help organizations provide toys, books and other holiday gifts for underprivileged, orphaned and disabled children.

"Initially, we wanted to bring a little joy to underprivileged, orphaned and disabled children by arranging a nice holiday gift for them," said SexEntertain co-founder Mike M., who created the event in 2004. "We contacted several state-run and private organizations and were able to drop off toys to the children face-to-face. Being able to bring a smile to a child that has been needlessly suffering is a truly rewarding experience and well worth the effort we put into this fundraising challenge. Our efforts are expanding with grants and scholarships."

Webmaster Toy Run started its monthlong fundraiser and two-week silent auction at Webmaster Access West earlier this month, launching the drive at the event's "Get Lucky" bowling party, which drew more than 650 webmasters and adult-industry professionals.

"The turnout at the ‘Get Lucky' event was tremendous, so we got a great deal of attention to the charity and a great start reaching our fundraising goals," said Matrix Content President Stephen Bugbee, who coordinated the event with Mike M.

"We received stupendous support from leading webmasters, studios and industry icons for our silent auction," Mike M. said.

The items being auctioned include consumer electronics, high-value adult traffic, a luxury suite at a National Hockey League game and a visit to an adult-video shoot. The highest bidders for each item will be announced Dec. 4 on various boards.

Participants are encouraged to make donations and suggest specific charities to sponsor. Send charity suggestions or questions about the auction to [email protected] or visit WebmasterToyRun.com.
