Webmaster Access Getaway a Snowy Success

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - The Webmaster Access Getaway, which wrapped up Friday, was a snowy success, featuring days filled with skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and tubing, and nights filled with drinks and gambling.

More than 30 inches of snow were dumped on Heavenly throughout the week, making for powdery runs throughout much of the show at Harvey's Casino and Resort in South Lake Tahoe.

Evenings were filled with the usual webmaster show activities, highlighted by happy hours at the Cabo Wabo Cantina and clubbing at Vex in the neighboring Harrah's Lake Tahoe.

Although plans have not been formally announced, organizers are planning to move the event to Hawaii in 2009.

"It was a fitting farewell to Tahoe," said Eric Matis, vice president of marketing for Webmaster Access' parent company, ICS. "We're looking forward to saying ‘aloha' next year."

Organizers are looking at the same mid-February time frame for the 2009 show, Matis said.
