Video Secrets Stays Focused

As far as the folks at Video Secrets are concerned, the search for the adult industry's "next great thing" is over and done with. By maintaining a two-pronged business philosophy, founders Greg Clayman and Constantine Tsiamis have striven to make Video Secrets a long-standing organization focused on long-term successes.

"We believe in the live video chat market and are not distracted by ‘the next great thing' because we know we've already found it," Clayman says. "Occasionally this results in us not being first to market, but as we all learned in the dot-com boom/bust cycle, being first to market wasn't always a recipe for success. This [long-term] mindset shapes every decision we make. When we enter into a deal with someone, it is not aimed at making a quick buck, but rather it is aimed at building a long-lasting relationship that will be successful for the deal at hand and beyond."

Clayman and Tsiamis originally founded the company based on a live video teleconferencing concept. "Originally the thought was to market the service to professionals like attorneys, etc., to use with their clients," Clayman says.

And while the concept was premature for the mainstream world back in 1996, it proved to have immediate and profitable applications in the adult entertainment space. Since its inception 13 years ago, Video Secrets has maintained a strong reputation for on-time payouts, high-quality product, and excellent affiliate support. The company has become a premier affiliate program for live chat upsells and an industry leader in live video chat.

Several months ago, Video Secrets expanded its product offerings from the standard rate of $5.99 per minute, introducing an $8.99-per-minute product called Premiere for its top performers and special events and a less expensive product called Semi-Private at $2.99 per minute.

At just $3 per minute, Semi-Private is a discounted show option and costs half the price of a typical private show on the Video Secrets network. Multiple customers can interact with the same performer simultaneously, each paying $3 a minute for the uncensored live video chat session. The lower price point makes live chat sessions accessible to more customers.

"Semi-Private is a one-to-many product that gives performers who may have a hard time converting at $5.99 an opportunity to make money at a lower price point," Clayman notes. "These new show types are still in their infancy, but early results are extremely positive. As the months continue we aim to leverage these new shows by creating new sites for affiliates to promote, etc."

Premiere Chat extends the Video Secrets product line higher with the addition of a $9-per-minute price point for a private chat with the performer. The option is not for all customers, and not available with all performers, but for many, the ability to interact one-on-one with their dream girl or guy is the ultimate fantasy.

Video Secrets' flagship site, Flirt4Free, allows customers to see, hear, and direct their own shows all within the privacy of their own home computers.

"We also operate many successful white label sites for major industry players such as Hustler Live, Vivid Live, FreeOnes Live, and Gamelink Live," Clayman says. "The beauty of our product is that the site is only one facet; the real popularity comes from our performers and we can have them appear on any domain we set up."

Video Secrets' content is entirely live and broadcasts feature performers from more than 400 studios worldwide, from the Czech Republic, Russia, and Canada to the U.S and elsewhere. Some work from their homes, while others work from third-party studios.

"Our longevity in this space gives us an edge," Clayman says. "We have a long history with affiliates and customers, and our experience with credit-card processing in the high-volume, high-risk market is invaluable. Our team of employees is second to none and their knowledge about the product, experience working together, and commitment to the long-term success of Video Secrets takes years to develop. This commitment to the live video chat market gives us an advantage. We are solely focused on this highly competitive and growing niche, which leaves us well positioned as the industry continues to evolve."
