CYBERSPACE—Vendo is an analytics company that uses tools to sell better at the point of sale with pricing, billing, UX and offer management. The Vendo team sees their role as stopping revenue leaks and improving performance through automated, high-volume testing.
At the recent Internext Expo, held in January in Las Vegas, Thierry and Matt of Vendo led testing-related seminars. They answered a few questions about how well these popular seminars went, and the importance of analytics and testing.
AVN: You put on a standing-room-only seminar at Internext called “Top 5 Testing Secrets.” Why were there so many people there?
VENDO: It’s simple. Everyone is competing for traffic and every dollar counts. People know that if they aren’t testing, they’re leaving money on the table. One of the speakers was Andrew from VideosZ. He buys a good percentage of the traffic out there. Good luck competing against him and VideosZ if you aren’t testing and bringing your A game. He makes a dollar more so he can spend a dollar more. Why? Because he has a testing advantage.
The room was so full, you were turning people away. Did free pizza and beer have anything to do with it?
Hell yes it did! Free pizza and beer is one of the greatest marketing inventions of all time. We were really surprised by the intense interest in testing and analytics. Everyone stayed until the end and lots of people went to the two testing workshops we hosted after the seminar.
So, lots of interest in testing and analytics. What did you talk about?
We talked about what the leading companies know and what testing tools they use to beat the competition. Their tools and processes make up the five testing secrets.
Sounds great … what’s next?
We had no plans to do this, but given the demand we’re launching a board for the adult online community to educate and support each other on testing and analytics. It’s called AnalyzeWhat.com. We’ll share everything from the seminar there—including the five testing secrets—and the conversations will continue. We’ll also host a testing seminar in Phoenix. We’ll decide what to talk about based on what’s hot at AnalyzeWhat.com.

We’re an analytics company. We use our tools to test different ways of selling at the point of sale. We do pricing, billing, UX and offer management. We’ve been working with companies like Mindgeek, Videosz and LFP for over five years.
The companies we work with need to make a dollar more than their competition or they don’t get traffic. So our role is to test and find better ways of selling at the point of sale. Our goal is to stop revenue leaks at the point of sale. We use automated, high-volume testing to do that.
The result is that we are able to make our partners more competitive because they make make more money and can spend more money to acquire traffic.
