PHILADELPHIA - HotMovies.com has reported receiving a supportive response to its digitally created content at Japan's first adult-lifestyle exposition last week in Chiba, Tokyo. For three days, the 2007 Adult Treasure Expo (ATE), modeled after AVN's Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, united the adult toy and video industries.
Japanese studios visiting the HotMovies booth were said to be excited and intrigued by its use of proprietary digital rights management (DRM) software that allows users to pay by the minute to watch adult content. Even though Japanese law requires that all adult video be censored using mosaic pixelation, uncensored content may be exported to other countries. HotMovies representatives solidified deals to import innovative and unusual Japanese adult content that soon will be added to the site's 75,000-title library.
