MARINA DEL REY, Calif.—Takedown Piracy (TDP) is celebrating its second anniversary, and from the company's inception on April 5, 2009, until now, TDP has been responsible for over 2.3 million copyright infringements removed.
Thirteen-year adult industry veteran Nate Glass conceived the idea for TDP as he witnessed adult studios struggling to combat online content theft. Lacking the millions of dollars that music studios throw into their anti-piracy campaigns, most studios chose to simply bear the financial loss. Glass therefore decided to create an affordable and effective service brandishing guerrilla tactics against torrent, tube and cyberlocker sites stealing content.
