TLA Entertainment and AdultEmpire Team Up for Joint Venture

PENNSYLVANIA, Pa.—Two of the biggest e-tailers in the adult biz, both veterans with almost two decades in the industry, have announced a new joint venture. The two companies, TLA Entertainment and AdultEmpire, have vowed to "take adult entertainment e-commerce and direct mail to a whole new level."

In a statement, the partners described the move as "an opportunity for the two companies to build on their respective strengths." These business assets include AdultEmpire’s internet technology and TLA’s strength in the direct mail business and powerful reach into the gay market.

“We’re thrilled to be joining forces with TLA,” said AdultEmpire Director of Business Development Colin Allerton. “Like us, TLA has always had a reputation for creating a superior customer experience, and this partnership seemed like a natural outgrowth of our collective goals. It’s rare to have two such well-established retailers partner on such a large scale, which is one of the most exciting aspects of this new venture.”

“This partnership represents a true consolidation of strengths within the industry. It is a dynamic move that promises to yield great things for the business and consumers alike,” said TLA COO Brian Sokel.

AdultEmpire will immediately assume all warehousing, purchasing and fulfillment responsibilities for the joint venture while TLA Entertainment will manage Adult Empire’s gay business under Managing Director of Content and Marketing Erik Schut.

The family of TLA and Adult Empire websites and catalogs will continue to operate as usual.

Nine-time AVN award-winner Adult Empire is based in Warrendale, Pennsylvania and was founded in 1997. Coming on the scene at the same time, TLA Entertainment has been a top destination for home entertainment both online and via direct mail.
