SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - LightspeedCash is celebrating summer with a sales contest for its affiliates. Owner Steve Lightspeed said he plans to give away a total of $20,000 in cash and prizes during the three-month event.
Structured in tiers to allow both large and small affiliates to win, the contest will run from June 1 to Aug. 31. Affiliates will receive one contest entry for each join they send to Lightspeed's all-access program, and a winner will be drawn from the pot of affiliates in each tier at the end of the contest period.
Sending as few as five joins within the three-month period qualifies affiliates to win a $250 gas card or what LightspeedCash Sales and Marketing Director "YNOT Bob" Rice called "the world-famous" Daiquiri Whacker. The winner at the 26-50 joins level will receive $500 in cash or an Ultimate Gaming Chair. At the 51-100 joins level, affiliates qualify to win $1,000 or a Bose Acoustimass 10 home theater system. By sending 101-250 joins, affiliates can win $2,500 in cash, a Caribbean vacation package that includes $500 in cash, or a Digital Tiger monitor system. Sending 251-500 joins qualifies affiliates to win $5,000 in cash or a pair of Honda Ruckus Scooters.
The grand prize, for affiliates who send 500 or more joins, is $10,000 in cash.
Why is the company being so generous?
"We like to give back," Rice told AVNOnline.com. "Picture this: Steve and I are stuck on a private deck overlooking the Caribbean ocean, when he looks at me and says, 'Bob, it's time to give back again. The Phoenix Forum is a few months behind us, and our current and new affiliates deserve a kick-ass summer contest.' So, with his tradition of always giving back to his affiliates, Steve Lightspeed once again throws a promo for webmasters of all sizes to win some great bonus cash or kick-ass prizes."
In cases where prizes cannot be shipped, the winners will receive their loot in the form of American Express checks, Rice said. All chargebacks, refunds, and fraudulent transactions will be deducted from sales totals before tier levels are assigned.
