LOS ANGELES—SugarDVD.com is now offering their new unlimited stream to TV service through Boxee. Boxee, like Roku, is a set-top box that allows users to stream movies from the Internet to a TV. In addition to streaming movies, SugarDVD customers can use the Boxee's built in web browser to update their DVD rental lineups as well as buy new DVDs.
The SugarDVD app is the first of its kind on Boxee to offer hundreds of full-length adult movies for unlimited streaming. The app displays movies in a grid view, allowing users to sort by genres including Couples, MILF and Amateur. Over a hundred movies were added in August from several new studios, including Lethal Hardcore and Candy Shop. The app can be set up by going to sugardvd.com/boxee and following a few simple steps.
The new unlimited stream to TV service debuted in May with the release of a Sugar Roku channel. With Netflix focusing their attention on streaming, it makes a lot of sense to add unlimited TV streaming from a company known as the “Adult Netflix.”
"Our Roku and Boxee TV streaming is in line with what customers now expect and look for when they go to SugarDVD.com," said spokesperson Rebecca Bolen.
The service is currently included with all DVD rental plans at no additional cost. For $9.95 a month, a customer can stream as many movies as they want, as often as they want, and rent one DVD by mail at a time. A 10-day free trial is currently available for new customers.
SugarDVD gave away a Roku every week during the month of September as part of their Roku Summer Giveaway contest, and continue their promotion in October by giving away Boxees to Twitter followers.
"Adding Boxee gives us another growing platform to stream from,” said Sugar's content manager Justin Brand. “Let's face it, what's cooler than instantly beaming adult movies onto your big screen?”
