SRI LANKA—The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating porn content created within the country, according to the Colombo Chief Magistrate.
The CID claims links between porn websites and locally produced material, reports the area's regional Daily Mirror.
The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has already halted the webcasting of a dozen porn sites while the CID looks into the connections between adult sites and content producers within the country, and how the material is passed on.
Sri Lanka is general is known as a conservative, anti-porn nation.
