SkinVideo Revamps Site

Over the last few years SkinVideo has completely evolved in an effort to treat studios, webmasters, and surfers with respect.

In an effort to build a better porn site, the company has said it is looking elsewhere to gain additional grounding within this new landscape.

"We want success that doesn't involve sabotaging the competition or screwing the surfer," Kathleen of SkinVideo told AVN Online. "We care for our members not just because retention is paramount, but because we also champion quality entertainment. This is one of the reasons why we decided to update with fresh videos every hour."

According to Kathleen, many sites try to trick surfers into joining, yet offer infrequent updates and no real reason to stick around.

"Even once a week updates seem archaic when you consider that free tubes provide constant updates," she said. "If you go to our "New" tab and then select "List View" you'll see a time stamp for each new video we add to the site as we add it. Our webmasters appreciate this selling point, and the proof is in their stats."

Kathleen subscribes to the belief that quality sets sites apart from what surfers can get for free.

"It's not the top-notch studios that are keeping DVD sites afloat," she added. "Our Amateur video tab is one of the top converting areas of our site. Functionality, portability, easy navigation and niche categorization are also ways that SkinVideo stays ahead of the learning curve. Our entire adult video archive is also iPhone compatible. In line with our wide variety of niche porn, we've launched keyword tag clouds for all of our scenes. We've also rebuilt our recommendation engine - a genius tool that seems somewhat psychic. If one of micro niche scenes have peaked your interest, you'll now find more relevant videos than ever."

SkinVideo has spent the last few months completely revamping the technology and overall look and feel of the site.

"The online adult business is all about fad and new technology," Kathleen said. "To that degree, tube sites and billing trickery aren't the future for our industry."
